Walsh RMA Joint Venture Wins Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility Project at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii

Anaheim, Calif. (March 1) - RMA Land Construction, Inc., (RMA) was awarded a $37.8 Million design-bid-build project under the Walsh RMA Joint Venture (Walsh-RMA) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District. This project requires construction of six (6) structures, including a large two-story 60,000 SF vehicle maintenance facility located within Schofield Barracks, Oahu, HI.

The Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (TEMF) will feature a 14-bay tactical equipment maintenance shop; 1,512 tactical vehicle parking hardstand; a 100-stall POV parking lot; deployment equipment warehouse; and hazardous material storage. Supporting facilities include underground utilities; HVAC; electrical and telecommunication services; exterior lighting; fire protection and alarm systems; concrete paving and sidewalks; retaining walls; 3,600 LF of fencing and gates; over one mile of storm drainage; retention basin and culverts; and landscaping. The center is designed to meet Post Architectural and Engineering Guidelines and incorporates the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Silver criteria for sustainability.
