Anaheim, Calif. (March 17) - RMA Land Construction, Inc., (RMA) took great strides towards increasing safety awareness and training through the use of a Safety Incentive and Recognition program, which rewards employees who have gone the extra mile in safety insight and prevention. Spearheading the initiative was RMA’s electrical division. One of RMA’s newly appointed safety officers in training set a goal for RMA’s Hawaii team to accomplish 100 hours of certified training courses within a 30-day period during the month of February.
Fully supported by RMA’s Vice President Electrical Division and Corporate Safety Officer, 100% of the Electricians in Hawaii participated and surpassed the original goal – completing 118 total hours, all of which were logged on the employees’ own time.
Sharon Groff, Corporate Safety Officer at RMA states, "Our objective for this safety program is to reduce incidents and injuries to our employees and the customers we serve." Groff continued, "The purpose of the incentive program is to motivate and reward our employees for their group camaraderie and continuing behavior."
