RMA Celebrates Read Across America Day at Euclid Elementary School, Los Angeles, CA

Anaheim, Calif. (March 3) - RMA Land Construction, Inc., (RMA) participated in the National Education Association’s Read Across America program by reading stories to the students of Euclid Elementary School, located within the Boyle Heights School District. This celebration is held annually on the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel (acclaimed children’s author Dr. Seuss), providing increased reading motivation and awareness to children throughout the country.

"It felt wonderful to see all of the children’s reactions as they remained engaged throughout the story," said Gina Simmons, RMA’s Project Administrator, who read “Horton Hatches the Egg” to a second-grade classroom. The students, already familiar with Dr. Seuss stories, cheered when they heard which books we would be reading to them. Gina adds, "We all came together for the children and had a great time doing it!"
RMA looks forward to future participation with Euclid Elementary School in support of the STEM-Up© pilot initiative as we help to inspire America’s youth and support the wonderful educators in the Boyle Heights School District. STEM is a common acronym used to describe the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
