Ribbon Cutting for Newly Renovated, Bachelor Enlisted Quarters at Naval Air Station, Fallon, Nevada

Anaheim, Calif. (Aug. 19) - RMA Land Construction, Inc., (RMA) held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to commemorate the renovation of 100 Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ), accommodating 200 base personnel at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Fallon, NV.

RMA provided a complete interior renovation for all dorm rooms, approximately 850 SF each, while integrating sustainable design strategies and features to minimize energy consumption, conserve resources, minimize adverse effects to the environment, and improve occupant productivity, health, and comfort. The BEQs remained occupied and all construction activities had to be carefully coordinated with the residents. This project’s features of work included: new flooring, counter tops, cabinets and shelving; water-saving plumbing fixtures; kitchen and appliances; replacement of all bathroom furnishings including bathtubs, toilets, sinks, and surrounds; and wall and ceiling paint. Additionally, all bedrooms underwent furniture renovation and the kitchens were retrofitted with Energy Star appliance replacements for 20-inch wide cooking ranges, microwaves, and refrigerators.

RMA Wins Stadium Replacement Project at Fort Hood, Texas From the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Anaheim, Calif. (Aug. 10) - RMA Land Construction, Inc., (RMA) was awarded a $15.9 Million design-build task order for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, under a previously awarded Small Business MATOC. Providing architectural and engineering services on RMA’s team is lead design firm, C.H. Guernsey. The project consists of the design and construction of athletic facilities, including football and soccer fields, running track, press box, command and control room, concessions, covered stage, Special Events Complex, parking for personal and recreation vehicles, site work, and utilities at Fort Hood, Texas. This project is partially funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers may also exercise options to construct additional seating and parking, along with a new four-field softball complex with scoreboards.
