The new facility will supplement the existing Marine Corps Reserve Center (MCRC) to provide additional training space and joint use of the existing MCRC facilities, as the 5th Battalion, 14th Marines relocate from MCRC Pico Rivera to MCRC Seal Beach. The project is designed to achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® NC Version 3 Gold Level Certification. The project is scheduled to be completed in April of 2012.
