Anaheim, Calif. (Oct. 15) - RMA Land Construction, Inc., (RMA) was awarded a $10.65 Million design-build task order under a previously awarded Small Business Multiple Award Construction Contract from Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Southwest Division. URS Group is the lead design firm providing architectural and engineering services on RMA’s team.
The project consists of a new single-story, 26,910 square foot Marine Reserve Training Center (MRTC) and 6,332 square foot vehicle holding shed at the Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, California. Site features include a concrete parking for tactical vehicles, porous asphalt pavement parking lot, roadways and sidewalks, and landscaping. Low Impact Development (LID) strategies will be incorporated into the site design and contribute to sustainability goals. The building will be designed to achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED®-NC Version 3 Gold Level Certification and is scheduled to complete in April of 2012. Issuance of a planned modification will increase the task order value to $11.3 Million.
