Anaheim, Calif.
(Aug. 27) – RMA Land Construction, Inc., under the Walsh RMA Joint Venture
(Walsh-RMA), was presented with a Certificate of Achievement Safety Award by
the Corps of Engineers (COE), Honolulu District, for their outstanding
accomplishment of working in excess of 100,000 safe construction man-hours
without a single lost-time injury on the $37.8 Million design-bid-build
Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facility (TEMF) project located within Schofield
Barracks, Oahu, HI.
Close adherence
to the Quality Control Plan and Health & Safety Plan played a key role in
ensuring safe work was completed by the multiple subcontractors performing work
simultaneously at various locations.
In attendance to
present this notable certificate were Matt Segura, COE Deputy Commander, Jeff
Cochran, COE Chief of Safety, and Louis Muzzarine, COE Chief of Construction.
The project is scheduled for April 2013 completion.
